Just how fringe is "mainstream conservatism"?

National Public Radio is, of course, the very definition of non-partisan, centrist and actually fair and balanced. The mainstream of conservative media has gone so far right, that they are now reporting as factual news (what they consider "fair and balanced") that NPR is some kind of "left-wing jihadist deal."

That's right, jihadist. Fox "news" is now reporting that NPR exists to actively plot and carry out attacks against America. Seriously, that is how dumb they think "their base" is.
